Your Queens, Inc., in collaboration with Juneteenth NYC and the Southern Queens Park Association, will host the 8th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration on Saturday, December 28, 2024. The event will take place at the Roy Wilkins Recreation Center in Jamaica, Queens. Doors open at 3 p.m., with the program starting at 4 p.m.
Kwanzaa, celebrated from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, honors African heritage and culture, emphasizing the seven core principles of Nguzo Saba, such as unity, creativity, and faith. This year’s celebration promises an immersive cultural experience. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door.
