The Real Housewives of New Jersey is returning later this year with Teresa Giudice. Andy Cohen made this announcement on his SiriusXM radio show, Radio Andy. She will return as a regular cast member along with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and family friend Jacqueline Laurita. Teresa took to TWITTER to say:

The reality show is currently in production and has been shooting since she was released from prison on December 23 after serving a year-long sentence for fraud charges. During her interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish blog, she stated, “I am very excited to be back. For me, this season is all about letting go of the past and embracing the future. People are calling me Teresa 2.0.”

According to Bravo, this season will focus on family. Teresa will be seen trying to repair her relationships with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa. Also we will watch as she prepares her husband, Joe Giudice and daughters for his own jail term in March. Jacqueline is “hoping to fix the once-tight relationship she had with Teresa, while also focusing on her duties as a mom to her three kids, including her autistic son, Nicholas.” No one can forget the unforgettable moment in the franchise’s history, Season 5 when her son said I love you.

If you aren’t familiar about the relationships surrounding these women, the turmoil began on Season 1 when Teresa flashed her money around and spent $120,000 on some ugly furniture. As her legal troubles began to pile up, she became secretive and pushed her family away. There is still a lot of hurt and healing that is left. In Season 5 emotions were at an all time high and led to the most explosive fight yet, between Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice.

Before being sentenced, she gave a heartfelt plea to Judge Salas.
“I fully take responsibility for my actions. I deeply love my family… My four daughters are my life. I wrote this last night because I knew I was going to be nervous… I’m scared, I’m not going to deny it, I’m really scared. I have heard you. I need to live to do things for myself. It’s time for me to wake up… I will make this right no matter what it takes.”
