Papa John’s Founder Resigns As Chairman After More Racial Controversy

Papa John’s founder John Schnatter resigns as the chairman of the board of directors in the company after using the N-word during a conference call.

Schnatter’s resignation comes after the MLB cut ties with its Papa John’s partnership. To top things off though Schnatter still has 30 percent stake in the company, the company’s stock price has fell.

This is not the first time Schnatter has been in the hot seat for racial controversy. Back in December 2017, he stepped down as CEO after it went viral that he blamed the NFL’s national anthem protestors for Papa John’s decline in sales.

Other pizza companies believe Papa John’s is in downfall. What are your thoughts?
