BRAG, the 501 (c) (3) organization committed to preparing and educating professionals, entrepreneurs and students of color for executive leadership in roles in retail, fashion and related industries, hosted some of the industry’s elite at their 48th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala on Friday, October 19, 2018 at The Edison Ballroom in New York City!
This year’s event theme was FASHION FORCES, and honorees included Bloomingdale’s Vice President of Integrated Marketing Kevin Harter, LIM College President Elizabeth Marcuse, and Balmain’s US Managing Director Shawn Pean.
Emcee’d by television personality Miss. J Alexander, the event was also attended by Page Six’s Bevy Smith, HBO executive Dennis Williams, Ashley Stewart President & CMO Kristen Gaskins, legendary stylists Freddie Leiba and Memsor Kamarake, model Brent Zachary and Saks Fifth Avenue VP of Men’s Luxury Collections Shawn Howell, just to name a few. The event included live entertainment by NY-based Honey & Vinyl, a silent auction, and a four-course dinner.
