R&B star R. Kelly is facing a new investigation after law enforcement received a sex tape this week allegedly of the embattled singer and an underage girl.
Attorney Michael Avenatti, who represented Donald Trump’s alleged mistress Stormy Daniels, came into possession of the footage from someone he describes as a “whistleblower”.
Avenatti has reportedly claimed the source has been friends with R. Kelly for at least twenty-five years.
In the video, the singer allegedly acknowledges that the girl is fourteen-years-old, below the age of consent in Chicago.
Steve Greenberg, Kelly’s current attorney, denies that he has been contacted by law enforcement at press time.
The controversial artist was tried, but acquitted in 2008 of engaging in sex with a thirteen-year-old underage female after a video emerged earlier that year.
