Rapper-turned-actor Queen Latifah won’t be leaving your television anytime soon. Her hit show, The Equalizer has been renewed on CBS for not one, but two seasons.
“The Equalizer continues to pack a power punch on Sunday nights, and we’re thrilled to have it back for two more seasons,” explained Thom Sherman, Senior EVP of Programming.
According to reports, the latest season averaged 9.5 million total viewers. Season to date, the show has amassed 1.2 billion potential social media impressions.
Queen Latifah is the executive producer and star of the series. She talked about the show’s success Thursday on CBS Mornings.
“We’re not afraid to touch anything. It’s important to talk about these subjects and see some justice met and I think that’s what people have gravitated to.”
