Mayor Eric Adams and Brooklyn Borough President, Antonio Reynoso will join The Dad Gang this Juneteenth as they take over the streets for the 3rd Annual March of Dads.
A celebration of Black Fatherhood, the march is a live demonstration to celebrate, empower and unite active Black and Brown fathers, while also debunking the negative stereotypes of black fathers portrayed in media.
The event takes place on Sunday, June 19th (Juneteenth Father’s Day) Prospect Park at Grand Army Plaza (entrance) Brooklyn, NY @ 10 AM.
Founded in 2018, The Dad Gang is an organization committed to building a community amongst Black fathers and men globally. The Dad Gang has created a strong, sacred and safe space for Black men to find camaraderie, support, and encouragement to change the perception of Black Fatherhood.
Though marred by a racially driven and media-amplified stigma that has led the world to perceive black fathers as widely absent, inactive, or simply unfit parents, The Dad Gang continues to thrive and be the driving force behind amplifying the voices of Black & Brown Fatherhood to dispel the myths.
