Two Chicago creatives decided to link up for “Chill.” J. Ivy is most noted for his poetic skills and award nominations, while J-Oats is an emerging artist keeping his momentum by dropping jewel after jewel.
This new video for CHILL was directed by Oats himself. It was edited by LB Vision Productions. Each verse is a cautionary tale about how certain situations can be avoided and things aren’t always what they seem to be. Critics have said J-Oats is doing an extraordinary job displaying his storytelling ability with this single. Most people can hear that the song pays homage to Slick Rick’s classic Children’s Story.
