Saving Ja Morant: Moneybagg Yo Offers Insight

Rapper, Moneybagg Yo, was a recent guest on Speedy Morman’s show “360 With Speedy Morman,” and he had some words for Ja Morant. As we’ve all seen and heard, the Memphis Grizzlies star has been dealing with the repercussions of his off-court antics.

Unfortunately, the situation going on with it right now.. he’s 23, I feel like it’s just a phase. Like, when I was 23, it was like I was just doing stuff and people had to tell me, or I had to bump my head. So I’m grateful to make it out of those situations. Some people don’t even shake back from certain situations, you feel me.”

He would continue on in his interview to highlight that if he had kept those around him when he came up, he might not even be around today. He also believes Ja Morant is young enough to learn from his mistakes, and eventually learn how to adjust to his newfound fame and life.

“I just look at it, like, this one of them phases, bro. Ja gonna snap out of it, and of course, I gave him encouraging words. He was like ‘I appreciate that big bro, I got you. I’m gonna get it right.’”
