Recently, several Caribbean Islands, including Barbados, Dominica, Grenada and Martinique suffered extreme damage from Hurricane Beryl

The storm has downed power lines, flattened homes, and flooded streets. Union Island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines saw 90% of its houses severely damaged or destroyed. The death toll has reached at least seven.

In Jamaica, a hurricane warning is in effect, and officials have activated disaster response protocols. After affecting the eastern Caribbean, Beryl made landfall near the Mexican resort of Tulum as a Category 2 storm.

The storm damaged or destroyed 95% of homes on two islands in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, disrupted fishing boats in Barbados and ripped off roofs in Jamaica.

The storm is now heading toward the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Residents in affected areas are urged to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
