Tonight, BET airs the “Black Men’s Summit,” a one-hour prime-time special hosted by comedian and radio personality D.L. Hughley. The program, airing at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, brings together prominent Black men from entertainment, politics, business, and civil rights to address issues impacting Black men in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.
Hughley will be joined by a slate of influential voices, including actor Michael Ealy, music producer Jermaine Dupri, civil rights attorney Ben Crump, NAACP President Derrick Johnson, and rapper and philanthropist Vic Mensa.
The program will also feature National Urban League President Marc Morial, political commentator Keith Boykin, and Tennessee state representative Justin J. Pearson, among others.
Key topics include economic challenges, political disenfranchisement, reproductive rights, and the effects of misinformation on Black communities. In a highlight clip, Hughley and Crump discuss the unique pressures facing Black male voters, underscoring the significance of their support in the upcoming election.
Another clip features Mensa speaking about the importance of supporting Black women, particularly regarding reproductive rights, and drawing a connection to maternal mortality rates in the Black community.
The summit airs on BET and will be available for streaming on BET+, BET’s website, and social media platforms.
