Join us as we explore his journey into solo artistry and the story behind his new music.

What was the starting point for your performance career?
The starting point of my performance career was when I was 5 years old. My daycare had a performance lined up where we would have to perform nursery rhymes. I got so excited when it came to my performance that I grabbed the microphone, and I never wanted to stop. They had to pick me up off the stage.

Please identify some of the artists who have had an inspiring or influential effect on you.
Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Bow Wow Wayne, and of course the Big 3 (Drake, Kendrick, and J. Cole), classic hip hop, and R&B.

How would you describe your style or approach to music?
My sound is melodic, heavy, catchy, and versatile. It is a blend of hip-hop and R&B with Caribbean influence.

What distinguishes you from other artists?
What sets me apart from other artists is my versatility. You aren’t sure what you are going to get with me. My tenacity can be felt in and out of the booth.

Name some of the major artists you have performed alongside.
Vulf Peck.

What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
Don’t fall in love with fame, fall in love with creating or mastering the craft. Fall in love with your music; hopefully, everything else follows.
