Not one to hold her tongue, soul singer Ari Lennox publicly checked South African Podcast And Chill host MacG after the latter asked her a widely deemed crude and inappropriate question regard her sex life.
According to Ari, the podcaster also failed to delete the question as promised after she made her feelings known.
During the interview, MacG asked the Dreamville artist, “Is someone f*cking you good right now?”
The question was a worded in reference a lyric in one of her recently released songs, which in hindsight, Lennox deemed to be inappropriate and disrespectful.
“Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently,” she explained afterwards in a tweet.
While many of her fans agreed, a number of Twitter users blamed her sexually charged lyrics and image for MacG’s approach.
Seemingly frustrated with the media coverage and trolling, the R&B star made her feelings known.
“For Christ sakes. I realize I have no hits. I realize you all can live without hearing my music. I realize my complaining is so aggravating to y’all . I don’t ask blogs to post me when I’m at my worst. You judgemental [sic] self hating parasites wouldn’t last a day as a signed artist.”
