“We want Boston!”
A fair warning to fan bases outside of Boston, you might be jinxing yourself by chanting these three words outlaid. In the first round, the Celtics doused the Heat after Miami fans made their bold proclamation uttering those three words. In the second round, Cleveland fans also wanted Boston as their team moved onto the semi-finals. But last night, the Celtics closed out the series, 4-1, at TD Garden, with a dominant 113-98 win.
The Boston Celtics are now headed to the Eastern Conference finals for the third consecutive season. But we all knew the team was on a mission from the jump—after falling short the last two seasons.

For now, we await the answer as the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers head to Game 6—with the Knicks leading the series, 3-2. The Celtics have the opportunity to rest their players, especially Kristaps Porzingis, who continues to recover from a calf strain, as they wait for the Knicks/Pacers outcome.
“People might think it’s a given that we’re supposed to be here. I give a lot of credit to everybody in the front office, the coaching staff, the trainers, the guys who hand out the equipment, the ballboys, the cooks, the chefs, security team. We’re all in this together,” shared Jayson Tatum.
Along with Tatum, Jaylen Brown, had also been enduring criticism all season long. From analysts to fans, doubt has been spewed over these two stars as many wonder if they can carry their team over the hump.
For Tatum, Brown and the entire Boston organization and the City of Boston, this HAS to be the year.
