Just the other day, Boston Celtics star, Jaylen Brown, had offered up his support to Kanye West. As you know, Brown is signed to Donda Sports, a sports agency owned by ‘Ye. Or, at least he was. Amidst all the scandal surrounding Kanye’s antisemitic comments, Brown had expressed that he sided with his agency’s founder. At least initially.
Not even 24 hours after making his declaration of support, Brown released an official statement via his Twitter account. His stance changed up real quick! To note, however, his initial reaction did clarify that he did not, in any way, condone Kanye’s hateful comments.

Initially minimizing Kanye’s transgressions, which set some of his fans off, Brown took some time to truly reflect on the situation. We assume the widespread criticism he faced inspired him to re-evaluate his stance.
Brown, however, isn’t the only athlete signed to Donda Sports who decided to part ways. Aaron Donald, an all-pro, and Super Bowl-winning defensive tackle from the Los Angeles Rams, also released a statement. Aaron claimed that Kanye’s statements have been “irresponsible.”
“Our family has made the decision to part ways with Donda Sports. The recent comments and displays of hate and antisemitism are the exact opposite of how we choose to live our lives and raise our children. We find them to be irresponsible and go against everything we believe in as a family.”
Here, at Urban Magazine, we are truly at loss for words as we witness what appears to be the downfall of a man we once heralded as a genius – as one of the best to ever do it.
