Over the weekend, Verzus TV has announced another legendary line up for the quarantined music battles, Brandy vs Monica.
News of the highly anticipated showdown was a shock to fans because of a rumored feud between the two vocalists in the 90s.
Ever since the beloved duet, “The Boy Is Mine”, the two R&B singers were pitted against each other, especially in the media. Both have explained their history in recent interviews and confirmed they have grown and moved on.
Brandy has recently released a new album in May where she narrates her life’s journey. The album includes her single, “Baby Momma” featuring Chance the Rapper; along with collaborations with her daughter Sy’rai and Daniel Caesar.
As for Monica, she has been a hot topic in the media involving her support for incarcerated rapper C-Murder, a former member of Master P’s No Limit Record label and her ex-boyfriend.
The anticipated battle will be airing live on Instagram and Apple Music, Monday August 31st at 5PM PST/8PM EST.
