This morning at 12am, the visually appealing music video, “WAP” was finally released to the public.
The highly anticipated video lured viewers all over the globe with its aesthetically pleasing visuals.
With surprise cameos by high profile celebrities such as Normani and Kylie Jenner, this rap duo has been the topic of conversation since its release.
Even though Ms. Jenner was chosen to appear in the video, Black Instagram and Twitter users have been very vocal about their disapproval of her inclusion. The fans have begun to argue her need to even be allowed in this video because of the history the Kardashian Klan has with appropriation of Black culture.
Fans have even went as far to start a petition to have her cameo complete removed.
Sparking conversations of women empowerment, who is allowed to be included, and the influence female rappers have on the youth; “WAP” has accomplished it goal of taking over the media.
