The Justice for Elijah campaign has made a partnership with Culture Greetings for a card writing campaign demanding justice for the late Elijah McClain.
Along with the Culture Greetings campaign, celebrities are using their platforms to advocate for justice through this important PSA. Janelle Monae’, Meagan Good, and Demi More are some of the notable individuals lending their voices to help spread awareness for the late Elijah McClain.
Culture Greetings is an African American, female owned virtual greeting card company using its platform to demand justice for an important cause.
With the anniversary of Elijah McClain’s unfortunate death approaches, this campaign is important to bring awareness to this influential incident. On August 30, 2019 sadly passed away after three police officers held him on the ground for fifteen minutes.
The incident gained global attention this summer after people and celebrities on social media used their influence to inform the nation. Mr. McClain was known to play his violin for shelter kittens on his lunch break in his hometown of Aurora, Colorado. In response, peaceful violin vigils in his honor have been held across the country.
