Celtics Capture Record 18th NBA Title with 106-88 Win Over Mavericks

The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, clinching the 2024 NBA Finals with a 4-1 series victory. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 31 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds. Jaylen Brown contributed 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Jaylen Brown was named the series MVP, receiving the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award. He averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game throughout the series.

With this victory, the Celtics have won 18 NBA championships, surpassing the Los Angeles Lakers for the most in NBA history.
