As announced today by Outbreak Presents, The Monster Energy Outbreak Tour introduces a groundbreaking comedy and music experience unlike anything else in the marketplace—presenting the “Take It Personal Hip Hop Improv” Comedy Tour with Cipha Sounds. Check out the full routing below.
Tickets go on-sale April 27 at 10am local at Outbreakpresents.com.
For the first time in history, the renowned comedian, personality, host, DJ, tastemaker, and industry visionary from Rocnation and truTV curates a one-of-a-kind event in cities across the U.S., beginning at the end of May. Critically applauded Brooklyn hip-hop artist Nitty Scott joins him on the road.
The “Take It Personal” Comedy Tour takes a cue from Cipha’s revolutionary cult favorite “Take It Personal – The Hip Hop Improv Show,” which remains a staple at the world famous UCB theatre in New York City every Tuesday night and turned into a hit TV show on TIDAL. Its previous guests have spanned everyone from Donald Glover and ?uestlove to Zoë Kravitz, 2 Chainz and many more.
The evening kicks off with an emerging stand-up comedian handpicked by Cipha. Next up, he joins a star-studded revolving cast of celebrities and artists to relay hilarious and personal stories to the live audience. Bringing those stories to life, his collective of improvisers, A Tribe Called Yes, enact outrageous routines based on those experiences on the spot. Red hot tourmate Nitty Scott delivers a fiery set to close out the night.
Cipha says of the tour, “I’m excited for my first ever comedy and music tour. I’ve been part of the Monster family for a minute and we’re hitting the road with my girl Nitty. My dream in life is to spread the joy of improv comedy to the world and I’m super excited Monster Energy and Outbreak are helping me mesh comedy and music on the road.”
Steve Glazer, Founder of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour comments, “Cipha is part of the Monster family and beloved by all. We’re extremely excited to bring his ‘Take It Personal’ show on the road as part of the Outbreak Tour. Part stand-up comedy, part improv, and part music mixed with storytelling; we’ve never seen a tour of this kind and are moved by the genuine, ambitious nature of the concept. Introducing people not only to new artists, but also to innovative creative platforms is exactly what Outbreak is all about.”
