CÎROC debuted its Blue Dot Creative Residency (BDCR) at the Sundance Film Festival, offering emerging storytellers a platform to bring their passion projects to life. The program launched with an event at MACRO Lodge, drawing Hollywood stars and industry leaders.
The residency kicked off with a panel discussion titled “Addressing the Creator’s Dilemma,” moderated by Imani Ellis, founder and CEO of the Creative Collective and Culture Con.
The panel featured actors Michael Ealy and Jharrel Jerome, actor and producer David Oyelowo, and the first BDCR member, actor and multihyphenate Woody McClain. The discussion explored the creative challenges artists face in balancing passion projects with financial success.
BDCR aims to support emerging voices in the entertainment industry, providing resources and mentorship to help bring new stories to production.
CÎROC’s initiative aligns with Sundance’s mission of championing independent storytelling and fostering innovation in film and media.
