2K and Firaxis Games announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will launch on February 11, 2025. This latest entry in the acclaimed strategy series, which has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide, will be available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo™ Switch, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), and Mac and Linux (Steam). The game will support cross-play and cross-progression.
The announcement was made during Gamescom Opening Night Live, where the game’s new features were showcased. Gwendoline Christie, known for her roles in “Game of Thrones” and the “Star Wars” franchise, will narrate the game, which was highlighted in a live-action trailer.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will allow players to guide their empire through various historical Ages, each offering unique gameplay elements and civilizations. Players can now select leaders and civilizations independently to tailor their strategies. The game features an updated art style and aims to be a significant advancement in historical strategy gaming.

- Distinct Ages: Lead your empire through different Ages, each with unique civilizations and gameplay systems.
- Evolving Empires: Adapt and reshape your empire as you progress through Ages, unlocking new bonuses and units.

- Standard Edition: $59.99 on Nintendo™ Switch and $69.99 on other platforms. It includes the base game.
- Deluxe Edition: $89.99 on Nintendo™ Switch and $99.99 on other platforms. It includes early access starting February 6, 2025, and additional content packs.
- Founders Edition: $119.99 on Nintendo™ Switch and $129.99 on other platforms. It includes all Deluxe Edition content plus additional post-launch DLC and is available digitally until February 28, 2025.
