Damian Lillard Makes NBA History, Scores 71 Points

Last night, Damian Lillard became just the eighth player in NBA history to score 70 or more points in a game. Breezing past the Portland Trailblazers, 131-114, Dame contributed 71 points and now leads the NBA with 12 games having scored 40, or more. What’s more impressive, is that his 71 points were made in under 40 minutes! Something that had never been done before!

To reach his new career, and League high, Dame connected on 13 3-pointers!! By halftime, he had 41 points and eight 3-pointers, and by the start of the fourth quarter, he had already reached 50 points.

Zaaamnnnnn.

Jerami Grant added 13 points for the Blazers, while Alperen Sengun ended with a double-double, 17 points, and 10 rebounds for the Rockets. The loss brings the Houston Rockets to last place in the Western Conference. And as for the Blazers, they are now tied with the Lakers with 29 wins each but slid past them having lost just one less game.
