Rapper Desiigner is once again in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, after reports emerged that he exposed himself on a recent flight from Thailand and Tokyo to the United States.
According to witnesses, the “Panda” hit-maker was on a flight when he allegedly exposed his genitals to a flight attendant. The incident reportedly occurred when the rapper became agitated after being told to put on his seatbelt for takeoff.
Desiigner allegedly became belligerent and began cursing at the flight attendant before exposing himself. The flight crew immediately notified the authorities, and upon landing, Desiigner was met by law enforcement officers when the plane landed in Minneapolis and taken into custody.
The rapper was later released on bail, and he has since issued a statement explaining his behavior.
“For the past few months I have not been ok, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on. While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted in to a hospital,” he said. “I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, … am admitting myself [sic] in a facility to help me.”
Despite his statement, Desiigner’s reputation has taken another hit as a result of the incident. Many fans and industry insiders are questioning the rapper’s judgment and his ability to control his behavior in public.
