Entertainment and fashion mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs was a staunch supporter of President Barack Obama in 2008, contributing along with Jay Z in bringing hip-hop fans to the vote for the first black president.
Speaking in regard to this year’s election in an interview with Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC, the entertainer had some advice for Hillary Clinton.
“Hillary Clinton, you know, I hope she starts to talk directly to the black community. It really makes me feel, you know, almost hurt that our issues are not addressed and we’re such a big part of the voting bloc.”
Making it a point not to show contempt towards our current president, Diddy did, however, express that while Obama has done well overall, he did not fully live up his expectations.
“This is politics. You put somebody in office, you get in return the things that you care about for your communities. I think we got a little bit shortchanged. That’s not knocking the President. He’ss done an excellent job, you know, but I think it’s time to turn up the heat, because the black vote is going to decide who is the next president of the United States.”
