In a recent interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, DJ Mustard weighed in on Drake’s path forward following his contentious rap battle with Kendrick Lamar, recent Grammy wins, and his Super Bowl Halftime Show experience.
During the interview, Mustard, 34, responded to questions about Drake’s next moves, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in music. “I kinda try to stay aligned with just pure shit, like, just being pure and being on the right side of things and not doing no tactics and gimmicks,” he said.
Mustard clarified that he wasn’t speaking for Drake, but expressed his views on the attention-grabbing tactics prevalent in the industry. “Just make music, man, and make good music and you’ll be fine. So I don’t know,” he added.
Drake recently made headlines with a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, accusing them of defamation and deceptive business practices. He is currently on tour in Australia with his Anita Max Win Tour. Additionally, fans are anticipating the release of his joint album with Partynextdoor, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, scheduled for Feb. 14.
