Dear Madam Vice-President,
I know this election didn’t go how you wanted, and that must be tough. But we hope you can take a moment to recognize everything you’ve achieved and the impact you’ve had. You’ve inspired millions and shown us what’s possible when someone leads with courage, conviction, and compassion.
Your work has broken barriers and brought so many people into the conversation who often felt unheard. While this might feel like a setback, the truth is you’ve created a legacy that will keep moving us forward. People—especially young Black women—see you and know they have a place in leadership because of you. That matters.
You have made us proud beyond words and despite the result, know that you unquestionably were the better candidate and, more importantly, the better human being.
Thank you for your dedication, your vision, and your resilience. The path you’ve paved is an inspiration, and we’re all better for it. We hope to endorse you again in four years.
With respect and gratitude,
The Editorial Board of Urban Magazine
