Emcee N.I.C.E. Receives Second Honorary Doctorate at Morehouse College

Emcee N.I.C.E. Ph.D. (h.c.), a celebrated figure in hip hop, received his second honorary doctorate in humanitarianism at a ceremony held in Morehouse College’s Martin Luther King Chapel. The event drew a notable crowd, including personalities such as Jekalyn Carr, Majesty King Yahweh, Mayor Cashenna A. Cross, Levar Kemp, and Pretty Vee from “Wild ‘N Out.”

This recognition underscores N.I.C.E.’s dedication to global humanitarian causes, marking a significant milestone in his career. Known for his influential contributions to music and social advocacy, he remains a powerful advocate for positive change.

“This honorary doctorate holds deep personal meaning for me, representing three decades of unwavering commitment,” said Emcee N.I.C.E. “It reinforces my belief in the transformative impact of music and education.”

Aulsondro “Novelist” Hamilton, Ph.D. (h.c.), as he is professionally known, has been a pivotal figure in Christian hip-hop and gospel music for over 30 years. His career includes over 20 chart-topping hits, a Stellar Award, and acclaim as the creator of “Da Jammies,” an animated series on Netflix. Previously serving as vice chancellor at a private university in Compton, he holds a Ph.D. (h.c.) in music business & entrepreneurship from Harvest Christian University.

Beyond music, Hamilton is a published author and inventor with a strong commitment to educational advocacy. His accomplishments include the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Gospel Hip Hop/Christian Hip Hop Hall of Fame. He is currently nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year at the Stellar Awards for his single “Amen Right There,” featuring Everett Drake and Canton Jones.

Emcee N.I.C.E. is also actively involved in community and educational initiatives, earning recognition from public officials such as Mayors Eric Adams of New York and Emma Shariff of Compton, California.
