Friday night, August 6th, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! was electrified with the one and only Queen of Neo-Soul, 4x Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress Erykah Badu (@erykahbadu), and Brooklyn-based group Phony Ppl (@phonyppl).
Erykah Badu entertained the packed audience with some of her classic and best known hits including “On and On,” “Window Seat,” “Other Side Of The Game,” “Phone Down,” “Bag Lady” and more.
The festival wrapped up last night, with the final show of the season also featuring performances by Nigerian afro-pop singer-songwriter, composer, actress and entertainer Yemi Alade (@yemialade) and an opening performance from LA-based singer Amindi (@amindi).
BRIC, a Brooklyn-based leading arts and media institution, brought its annual festival to the Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park. This year’s series ran from June 8th to August 6th.
