According to reports, rapper Fetty Wap (Willie Junior Maxwell II) was taken into police custody at Citi Field, the site of New York’s Rolling Loud music festival.

Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini alleged Maxwell was part of a multimillion dollar bi-coastal criminal operation.

Breon Peace, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York explained in a written statement, “As alleged, the defendants transported, distributed and sold more than 100 kilograms of deadly and addictive drugs, including heroin and fentanyl, on Long Island, deliberately contributing to the opioid epidemic that has devastated our communities and taken too many lives.”

The artist is facing a possible life sentence if convicted of the numerous charges including conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances.
