When it comes to digging a hole for himself, one might say DaBaby is an overachiever. After his homophobic comments during his performance at Rolling Loud, he’s been sidelined by several festivals including Lollapalooza and the Governors Ball.
Founders Entertainment, producers of the Governors Ball, issued the following statement:
“Founders Entertainment does not and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind. We welcome and celebrate the diverse communities that make New York City the greatest city in the world. Thank you to the fans who continue to speak up for what’s right. Along with you, we will continue to use our platform for good.”
While DaBaby has issued a second apology after the first one was far from well-received, it appears that it has done nothing to stop consequences of his offensive rant.
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up… Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”
DaBaby also release a new video “Giving What It’s Supposed To Give” that has been received as a response to controversy.
