Hit the Floor Moves to BET Starring Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor is among new cast members of the hit drama series Hit the Floor, which premiered on Monday night.

The singer is basking in success following the release of her second studio album K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) and her newest recurring role as London, a choreographer, on Hit the Floor.

Since the show went in limbo after its third season it underwent major changes, some of which Black Twitter is not too fond of. The main character Ahsha, formally played by Taylour Paige, made no appearance on the first episode.

In fact, her love story with TV fiancé Derek Roman, played by McKinley Freeman, seems to have come to an end.

The Devil’s Nation fan base took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the major change:

The series originally aired on VH1 for the first three seasons, but haas moved to another Viacom channel, BET. It is set to have eight episodes. From the looks of the first episode it will be packed with just as much sex, drugs, and violence as previous seasons.

What are your thoughts on the Hit the Floor makeover?
