When it comes to entertainment, Jade Alexis can do it all. Whether spitting 16 bars or singing songs about romantic betrayals and revenge, she captivates the hearts and minds of her fans worldwide.

You have participated in several facets of the entertainment industry including rapping, what led to you becoming a singer as well?
Thank you for featuring me. Truthfully, singing was always my first choice. I am fortunate that I can rap as well. I experimented with rap in March of this year. It was something I was willing to try out, and I ended up really liking it. But I have been singing since I was nine years old and haven’t stopped since. I started taking my music career very seriously right after I graduated high school. And after my first semester of college. I recognized that I actually like doing both and I have decided I won’t pick a lane.

What can our readers expect from your forthcoming project?
My upcoming project will be my first single called “My Bitch” with two of my label mates CharleeLynai and TZ. It is the summer song and will have everyone jumping at the brunch table! Afterward, I will release my first EP with “My Bitch” and a variety of R&B and rap songs that are also just as amazing! Stay Tuned!

Who would say has been your biggest inspiration musically?
Musically, my biggest inspiration is Beyoncé. She had no limits to what she was able to accomplish and continues to amaze people every time! I will not limit myself in what I do and everything I create will be better than the last. It’s all about growth.

With so many artists looking and sounding alike, how do you hope to set yourself apart?
I can sing, I can rap, I have the full package. While some may be able to do one or the other, I am really great at both. Why should I have to choose a lane when I can do anything it all? That’s what I want to give my fans. I want to give them my all. It’s the one thing that they won’t be able to find anywhere else. If you want that Jade Alexis sound, you have to come and see me.

How would you describe your ‘sound’?
I would describe my singing as unique for my generation and I have A1 skills when it comes to rap. The goal is to create a sound that’s timeless so I can have a long and lasting career.
If you had the opportunity, is there any specific artist you would love to work with?
If I had the opportunity, I would definitely work with Latto, SZA, or Queen Naija.

Your mother is a legend in the urban book publishing field, how does that help you navigate through the music industry?
My mother being successful in publishing definitely helps me with my drive and knowledge on the business end of things. I definitely trust her also with ensuring I am always making the right moves.

Where would you like to see yourself in the next five years?
In the next five years, I can most definitely see myself continuing to do amazing things. I plan to collab with some great and very talented people. In five years, my fan base will significantly increase as I continue to make a name for myself.
