Representing the City of Brotherly of Love, Philly artist Rell Geez is making a name for himself while delivering creative and relatable music. With his gritty street narratives and great beat selection, he strives to set himself apart from rest.
When did you start performing?
I started performing as a kid in summer camps and talent shows but once I got older I really started performing seriously in 2017 from then on I became a beast overnight.
Name some of the artist who have inspired or influenced you?
I have many talented artists that inspire me, Chris brown, Trey Songz, Tory Lanez, PnB rock, the baby, Lil baby, and Roddy Ricch, plus J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, lol there’s so many more influences that I have from old school to new school I would have you guys up all day, but they inspire me to keep making music.
How would you describe your style?
My style is very unique and versatile with a mixture of old school and new school blend, I have soulful music mix with love and trap music with that passion flow all in one, I’m so versatile that I can give you music from the 60s, all the way down to this era of music.
What separates you from other artists?
The fact that I got the best of both worlds with my singing / raping skills, that gives me more respect And power at the same time, my singing career is what help my rapping career so they both come in handy a lot so I give all the glory to God for these gifts.
Name some of the major artists you have performed with.
I haven’t performed with any big name artists but I have work with lots of indie artists, such as ambitious Feek, legendary always LA, Adonis, GO-GETTA DA PAPERBOI, and Darealist plus Tra Prada as well.
Do you have any major offers on the table?
I was signed to a independent label battle ground mind production in 2018 from out New castle Delaware, then from there I was working with two indie management labels in Washington DC, Dowers Club records and 448 Worldwide, but as of now I’m a free agent.
What advice would you offer other aspiring artists?
My biggest advice that I would give to all indie artists is to always keep pushing even when you don’t think you’re going anywhere you never know who could be looking or watching so continue to always strive for greatness.
