2K Sports announced that Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, a five-time NBA All-Star and reigning NBA champion, will be the cover athlete for the NBA® 2K25 Standard Edition. Tatum will be featured alongside Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson, a back-to-back WNBA champion and two-time WNBA MVP, as dual cover athletes for the NBA® 2K25 All-Star Edition.
Wilson will also grace the cover of the NBA® 2K25 WNBA Edition, exclusive to GameStop in the US and Canada. Additionally, eight-time All-Star and 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Vince Carter will be the cover athlete for the NBA® 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition.
NBA 2K25 is set for release on September 6, available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
“It’s an honor to be named a cover athlete for NBA 2K25,” Tatum said. “I’ve been playing NBA 2K since I was a kid, and it’s been a dream to one day be on the cover. Even after coming off an NBA championship, it’s humbling to see this come to life.”

NBA 2K25 introduces new features for players, including an added sixth era in MyNBA for New-Gen platforms, a more compact and interactive City, and updates in MyCAREER and MyTEAM modes. Current-Gen players will experience a new Neighborhood metropolis for quests, rewards, and competition.
The New-Gen version, available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, boasts enhanced ProPLAYTM technology, delivering a true-to-life basketball experience. Crossplay will only be available on New-Gen consoles.

NBA 2K25 offers four editions: Standard Edition, WNBA Edition, All-Star Edition, and Hall of Fame Edition. The Hall of Fame Edition, available through September 8, includes a 12-month NBA League Pass subscription. All editions are available for pre-order now and will be released worldwide on September 6.
