John Legend Celebrates 20 Years of Get Lifted With Deluxe Edition and New Vinyl Releases

Multi-platinum, 12-time Grammy winner John Legend is marking two decades of his debut album, Get Lifted, with a special anniversary edition. The deluxe digital release, Get Lifted (20th Anniversary Edition), is now available via Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment.

The expanded album features 11 bonus tracks, including eight new remixes, rare B-sides, and two previously unreleased studio performances from the original Get Lifted sessions. Collaborations with artists such as Tems, Killer Mike, Lil Wayne, Simi, and Black Thought add a modern twist to the celebrated project.

A deluxe 3LP vinyl edition, signed by Legend, will be released on March 7, 2025, and is available for pre-order. A 2LP vinyl edition, combining the original album with the bonus track “So High [Cloud 9 Remix]” featuring Lauryn Hill, will arrive earlier, on Dec. 20.

Get Lifted has always meant so much to me and to so many of my fans and supporters,” Legend said. “I’m so grateful for the career that this album launched. These last 20 years have taken me far beyond my wildest dreams.”

The 20th-anniversary editions include remixes of tracks like “Ordinary People” featuring Tems, “Used to Love U” with Black Thought, and “Let’s Get Lifted Again” featuring Killer Mike and Lil Wayne. The Get Lifted legacy continues to grow as Legend revisits and reinvigorates the work that made him a household name.

Both vinyl editions are available for pre-order now.
