Over the weekend, fans were surprised with news that Jonathan Major, star of Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was arrested for domestic violence.
Members of the NYPD took the actor into custody for allegedly assaulting and harassing his girlfriend, who accused him of slapping her with an open hand and placing a hand around her neck.
According to Major’s attorney Priya Chaudhry, he”is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation.”
Chaudhry goes on to say, “This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations. All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.”
Reportedly, because of the nature of the accusations, Jonathan Majors’ arrest was mandatory due to the NYPD domestic violence policy. He has been released on his own recognizance.
