Apple TV+ has released the trailer for “Lady in the Lake,” a highly anticipated seven-part limited series. The series stars Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Natalie Portman and Emmy Award nominee Moses Ingram. “Lady in the Lake” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes available for streaming on Friday, July 19, 2024. New episodes will be released every Friday until August 23, 2024.
Set in Baltimore during Thanksgiving 1966, the series centers on the disappearance of a young girl, intertwining the lives of two women. Maddie Schwartz, played by Portman, is a Jewish housewife aiming to reinvent herself as an investigative journalist. Cleo Johnson, portrayed by Ingram, is a mother navigating the political landscape of Black Baltimore while trying to support her family. Their paths initially appear parallel, but when Maddie becomes obsessed with Cleo’s mysterious death, their lives intersect, leading to dangerous consequences for those around them.
