All across the entertainment industry, celebrities and executives mourn the loss of legend Andre Harrell.
Through his own imprint Uptown Records, Harrell launched the careers many of the greatest names in black music including Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, Heavy D, Al B. Sure and many more.
As part of the label’s internship program, he mentored the then future music and fashion mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Harrell would later create and produce the 1994 classic urban television show New York Undercover which aired for four years.
Diddy would later bring Harrell to Revolt where he would serve as vice-chairman.
At press time, the cause of death remains unknown.
