Delicia Cordon, was brutally beaten by a robber allegedly sent by her ex-boyfriend NFL player, LeSean McCoy, in their Atlanta home on Tuesday.
The perpetrator, who entered the home at 3 a.m., pistol whipped Cordon while demanding jewelry specifically gifted to her by the running back.
In a statement released by Cordon’s attorney Tanya Mitchell Graham, McCoy has previously demanded for the return of the jewelry, even suggesting that Cordon might be robbed since the pieces are expensive.
The football star has also tried evicting Cordon twice, with an ongoing proceeding still into effect.
Coupled with their estrangement and there being no signs of forced entry, Cordon believes the Buffalo Bills player had a role in the attack.
McCoy’s attorney Jacoby Hudson claimed on Channel 2 Action News that McCoy had no involvement. The 29-year-old later took to Instagram to make a personal statement:
Cordon, however, is planning on taking McCoy to court over the incident. In the meantime, we are hoping for a speedy recover for Cordon.
