Sometimes reality can be stranger than fiction. Maybe that’s why Love & Hip has started to sound very scripted in recent years. We know that certain scenes are staged because the network needs permission to film in those places. However, do we believe the couples on season six of LHHNY are really in relationships?
For instance, throughout the year of 2015 Rich Dollaz was supposed to be in a relationship with Moniece (Love & Hip Hop Hollywood). At one point the two were supposed to be engaged and looking into buying a house. Their relationship supposedly ended at the end of LHHHollywood. However, now that LHHNY is back on Rich Dollaz is seen with a woman by the name of Mariah Lynn. While we only know about their relationship through the television, Mariah is a real life New York rapper.
Then there is DJ Self and Cardi B. What do we know about these two? DJ Self was already famous for his talent before he signed a contract to be on the show. Cardi B is a former stripper that gained heavy Instagram popularity in the past year. They both have the same management. Also while DJ Self has informed us that he’s had his shared of women in the industry, Cardi B recently shared on a Breakfast Club interview that her boyfriend is actually in prison. If she has a boyfriend and he’s a player, do you believe their storyline?
While those relationships are questionable, some of us are really side eyeing Cisco Rosado and rapper Miss Moe Money. Let’s ignore that fact that Moe Money resembles Wesley Snipes and Arsenio Hall. In the previous season Cisco showed that he wasn’t the relationship type when he lied to Diamond Strawberry. However, what makes some of us question the relationship is Moe’s description of the new man she was dating in episode 4. She described him as tall, fine, and mellow yellow. Weren’t you prepared to see her with a Michael Ealy look-a-like?
It gets more suspicious. While Mariah Lynn is supposed to be with Rich, she’s cheating on him with Cisco. Of course this leads to a fight between Mariah and Moe, which is perfect for the storyline. However, is this taking place when the cameras are not rolling?
