MTV has announced that Lizzo and Jack Harlow have joined the wide ranging list of performers for its forthcoming 2022 VMAs (video music awards), airing live from Prudential Center on Sunday August 28th at 8PM ET.
Other acts that have been recently added include K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK and rock group Mäneskin.
Lizzo has been nominated for four awards this year including “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year” while Jack Harlow, who is tied for the most nominations this year (7), will be competing in those same categories.
Previous announced performers include Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, and Panic! At The Disco.
According to MTV, Nicki Minaj will receive the Video Vanguard Award and perform for the first time since 2018.
The list of nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X (7), along with Doja Cat and Harry Styles (6) lead; Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd (5) closely follow. Read the full list here.
