Platinum-selling artist Lola Brooke released her latest single, “Disgusted,” through Team Eighty Productions and Arista Records. The new track follows heightened anticipation on social media and marks another step in the rapper’s evolving sound.
“Disgusted” blends pop and rap elements over an uptempo rhythm. The song is described by Brooke as a departure from expectation and an extension of the approach she explored in her previous release, “You The One.”
“I’m into all kinds of music,” Brooke said. “Nowadays, it feels like people always try to put you in a box. I figured this out before Don’t Play With It, so I make it a point to mix things up whenever I can. This track is really something different; it has an upbeat vibe with a rap twist and quickly became one of my favorites. It really brings to life what I was trying to say—that even though I’m not feeling all the crap I deal with, I’m not letting it get to me too much. Ain’t nothing killing my vibe.”
