Brooklyn’s very own, Lola Brooke, has steadily proved her prowess since the release of her hit debut single “Don’t Play With It” featuring Billy B, which reached viral levels across social media. Make no mistake though, Lola Brook, aka Big Gator, aka Big Lo’, has held it down for her borough for a minute. Those who know, know. It was only a matter of time until the rest of the world caught on. And they are finally starting to jump on the wave. Lola had one helluva Summer and kept the heat on as we entered Fall. She continues to ride the wave, upward, heading into 2023.
Now, as a right of passage, especially as a New Yorker, it was only right she hit the Hot 97 studio to drop some HEAT on her Funk Flex Freestyle. Sliding on each instrumental with ease, utilizing her mesmerizing, signature flow, Lola’s delivery proves years of refinement and perfection. With a big personality to match her energy, we can only look forward to what she has in store for her growing fanbase in 2023.
This year, alone, she hit major stages across the country for various festivals, consistently dropped material to keep us on our toes, and just stayed true to her Brooklyn aura.
