Mike Tyson Accused of Rape, Faces $5M Lawsuit

Former heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson, is currently looking at a $5 MILLION lawsuit. An affidavit filed in Albany County, New York, outlines the allegations against Tyson. The alleged victim claims they met inside a nightclub, but she was later invited into Tyson’s limousine. According to her statement, she assumed that Tyson was transporting her, and another individual, to another party. But while en route to the second location, Tyson attempted to kiss the victim before allegedly raping her.

The following are her exact words found in the affidavit:

“I met Mike Tyson in the early 1990s at a dance club called Septembers. My friend and I were hanging out with him and his limousine driver. Tyson told us about a party and asked us to join him. My friend was going to drop off her car and Tyson said he would pick her up in the limousine.”

She then went into further detail.

“He then pulled my pants off and violently raped me. As a result of Tyson’s rape, I suffered and continue to suffer from physical, psychological, and emotional injury.”

The victim, who remains unidentified, is seeking $5 million in damages since she’s “been unable to maintain and/or develop healthy relationships with men or anyone in general.” She’s also claimed that she “experienced extreme emotional suffering including but not limited to nightmares, panic attacks, and flashbacks.”

For Tyson, this (sadly) isn’t the first time he’s been accused, and/or convicted. In February of 1992, he was convicted of the heinous crime in Indianapolis and sentenced to six years in prison. He was later released on parole after serving three years.
