Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2018 on July 14 at the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre in Newport
Rogers is the first woman from Anguilla to have competed in the beauty pageant and with her new title she holds the privilege of being the first Black woman to ever win Miss Universe Great Britain.
She rose as victor against 40 finalists from the likes of England, Wales, and Scotland. She will represent Great Britain in international beauty pageant Miss Universe 2018, which can have 80 to 100 contestants.
Rogers holds degree in Law from the University of Birmingham and as an athlete has competed in the Commonwealth Games.
On Instagram she shared in a heartfelt message: “I am humbled and truly uplifted by those who are embracing my rewarding experience and success as their own.”
