This afternoon, music lovers across the globe received the heartbreaking news that musical genius Prince has died today at age 57.
Police are currently investigation the circumstances that led to his death in his Minnesota estate.
The singer who had been reported ill earlier this month, postponing at least one scheduled performance.
During his life, Prince was nominated for 30 Grammy Awards, winning seven, and brought home an Academy Award for the soundtrack of Purple Rain, a movie loosely based on his life.
