On Friday, 2K announced the full SKU lineup for NBA® 2K24 with 18-time All-Star, five-time NBA World Champion, two-time Finals MVP, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant as this year’s cover athlete. NBA 2K24 has four versions, including the Kobe Bryant Edition, WNBA Edition featuring New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu on the cover, Black Mamba Edition and 25th Anniversary Edition.
NBA 2K24 brings a series of new advancements and modes, including:
• We’re excited to announce that this year, NBA 2K24 will launch with crossplay for PS5 and Xbox X|S.
• In honor of Kobe returning to the NBA 2K cover, players can celebrate his legacy and channel their inner-Mamba mentality in the brand-new Mamba Moments mode. Recreate some of Kobe’s most captivating performances and progress through his transcendent journey from a young phenom to one of the greatest players of all time.
• NBA 2K24 will introduce ProPLAY, a groundbreaking new technology that directly translates NBA footage into gameplay and delivers animations and movements via on-court NBA action for a generational leap in authenticity on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. 2K also unveiled that WNBA All-Star, NCAA all-time triple-doubles leader and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu will grace the cover of the franchise’s third NBA® 2K24 WNBA Edition, a GameStop exclusive only in the U.S. and Canada.
Lastly, for returning fans of NBA 2K23, players can now complete a MyTEAM Triple Threat Challenge game against three different eras of Kobe, to earn special rewards in NBA 2K23 and NBA 2K24, available starting Friday, July 7 to Tuesday, August 28 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
