The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), which was established in 1954, is the union for current professional basketball players in the NBA. Its mission, to this day, is to protect and support the rights and talents of players, magnify the power of their collective will, and amplify their voices as leaders.
This Summer, the NBPA will host youth summer basketball camps in New York City and Los Angeles. The camp schedule will also feature an inaugural all-girls basketball camp in partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA), in partnership with JDS Sports.
Players and NBPA members such as Mikal Bridges, John Starks, Walt Clyde Fraizer, will join WNBPA members, Sabrina Ionesco, Lexie Brown, Chiney Ogwumike, and more, for the remainder of July. Providing young athletes with expert basketball instruction and skill development, the camp sessions will also include financial literary educational sessions, giveaways, trophies, NBA 2K gaming lounge, and an end-of-camp ceremony.
