Today the NBA season continues with a brand new Holiday Season spot, “The Most Dunktastic Time of the Year” featuring (in order of appearance) the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love, Chicago Bulls’ Dwyane Wade, New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green, Minnesota Timberwolves Zach LaVine, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Victor Oladipo, and Los Angeles Lakers’ D’Angelo Russell.
The league’s global marketing platform, “This Is Why We Play” jingles through the Christmas season in anticipation of the NBA’s five marquee matchups taking place Christmas Day on ABC and ESPN.
Based on the Christmas tune, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” made popular by Andy Williams, “The Most Dunktastic Time of the Year” features NBA stars harmonizing over flashy behind the back passes, deep three-point shots and powerful slam dunks.
All eight players will be in action on Christmas Day, with the slate of games highlighted by a 2016 NBA Finals rematch that showcases the Golden State Warriors visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers for a 2:30 p.m. ET showdown on ABC.
